Is my vehicle part of this service action?
It involves some 2001-2007 gasoline models. You will be notified by Volkswagen of America, Inc. If your vehicle is affected. When you are notified, please read the letter carefully because some customers will be invited in immediately and others will receive a second letter in coming months ahead.
Why isn’t everyone invited to come in right away?
In order to satisfy everyone, make sure we have sufficient quantities of parts on hand, and to make sure the work is done on a timely basis, it was decided to send out letters in waves so that we as a dealer can get your vehicle in and perform the service action with minimum inconvenience to you.
What if my vehicle has a malfunction before I receive my letter?
If you experience any problem before you receive your letter, you should contact us immediately so that we can get you in to diagnose the reason why. If it is a covered ignition coil malfunction, we will repair the vehicle at no cost to you.
What if I bought my car used? Will I be notified?
Volkswagen of America, Inc. checks registration records and should be contacting you. If you do not hear from them with 90 days, you should contact the campaign helpline
